Having over twenty years of experience working with children within the disability field, having extensive experience working with children and adults diagnosed with Autism, Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD), Intellectual disability (ID), Acquired Brain injuries (ABI) and comorbidity with mental health issues. 


Additionally, Tony has worked with many more psychopathological issues within the disability field. Tony has been counselling since 2011 for a variety aspects of psychological well-being issues for the public. Tony’s work and study led him to the youth justice system, where he worked with some of the most challenging behaviours presented by children within the state of Victoria. Developing an interest in the field of Child Development, Trauma, Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD), and many more presenting psychological issues by children within that system. 


Tony worked with carers and youth justice workers as a Therapeutic Practice Leader to assist in managing the children in protective care. During this phase of his development, he conducted several types of assessments, relationship interventions, and reflective practice sessions with staff, care teams, and families. 


Tony continued this work as a therapeutic specialist, working with carers, families, and care teams in residential care settings. This work included keeping children away from antisocial behaviour and towards prosocial activities, as well as assisting parents and carers by conducting assessments and interventions and working with the children. 


Tony worked extensively with children presenting with Trauma symptomatology and associated issues, continuing for several years. and became interested in Child Play Therapy and commenced training as a therapist. More recently, Tony has been a Clinician working with foster families to maintain and preserve the family structure. Tony continues and values his work with children, families and carers whilst presenting courses on therapeutic practice and Trauma to various professional groups whilst continuing his own professional development through various Universities.’
